Fans of the club will now see the new sponsor’s name proudly displayed at the entrances and exits, as well as seeing branding appear across all stands through the stadium.

Triton Shows Commitment to Nuneaton Town FC Community Plans

Nuneaton based Triton Showers is ‘on the ball’ as it announces its partnership with Nuneaton Town Football Club, unveiling the new name of the club’s stadium as the ‘Triton Showers Community Arena’, and giving its support to the club’s many community initiatives.

This new relationship means that the Boro’s community-based projects can now take a big step forward with the formation of the ‘Nuneaton Town Community Foundation’ - a not-for-profit charity created by NTFC, with assistance from Triton, which has the specific aim of supporting children within the Nuneaton area.

The renaming of the stadium as the ‘Triton Showers Community Arena’ is just the start of the Boro’s partnership with Triton. It is hoped the site will become a strong focal point for the Foundation’s schemes, as well as a recognisable base for local activities and groups from within the area.

The Foundation already has a number of healthy living projects in the pipeline, including the allocation of allotment space for growing fresh vegetables, cookery classes designed to promote healthy eating, football coaching sessions and a graffiti area, with many more ideas in development.

Triton Enjoys Some Good Clean Fun

Strengthening its online presence even further, Triton Showers has launched eight ‘Good Clean Fun’ viral videos to encourage the nation to get messy, get showering and get filming'. And there is a £1,000 stake on offer for those ready and willing to take up the challenge.

Each of the clips, which can be seen on YouTube, Triton’s website or on the Triton Showers Facebook Fan Page, show people of all ages finding simple ways to have ‘Good Clean Fun’ – before setting the challenge for people to create their own fun videos.

Clips include students sliding through curry to someone waterskiing through a muddy field behind a quad bike and children enjoying their party food on a bouncy castle - all in the knowledge they can get clean in their Triton Shower afterwards.

Those inspired to make their own films can simply upload them to www.tritongoodcleanfun.tv. The video with the most views by the end of 31 August 2010 will scoop the fantastic £1,000 prize.

Water Saving Shower Trio From Triton

With the Waterwise Annual Conference, part of World Water Day, taking place on 22 March 2010, the importance of considering the UK’s water usage - and where savings can be made - is again at the top of the priority stakes.

In a survey carried out by Triton Showers into the UK’s showering habits, it was revealed that Britons could be wasting an average 271,000 million litres of water each year¹ by spending an extra five minutes a day drenching under the showerhead. This is enough water to fill Rutland Water², one of the UK’s largest reservoirs, more than twice over or 135,668 Olympic size swimming pools, which, put end to end, would stretch from London to Toronto!

Triton’s survey also revealed that although 86% of those questioned have now ditched water-intensive baths in favour of taking a shower, almost half now prefer to spend between 10 – 15 minutes doing so.

Based on an average shower using around 60 litres of water every five minutes, simply by changing to an eco friendly model, such as Triton’s Eco mixer and electric ranges, or even just cutting five minutes off showering time we each could typically save around 21,900 litres³ every year. The same amount could make 109,500 cups⁴ of tea and keep the average tea drinker refreshed for the next 50 years!

Other interesting facts and figures Triton’s survey revealed include:

Women across the country officially spent longer in the shower, with over half taking 10 minutes or more each day, compared with only 42% of men.

The younger amongst us also seem to have the most time to spend in the shower, with more than twice the amount of 18-24 year old taking an average of 15 minutes than those aged 55 – 64.

Surprisingly, 70% of those questioned did not actually consider how much water they used in the shower.

86% said that they could be persuaded to spend less time under the spray, particularly if they thought it would benefit the environment.

71% stated the environment as their main water saving motivator with a further 62% being convinced by the money saving aspect.

The Scottish came in as the top showering addicts with over 14% of those questioned saying they prefer to spend a lengthy 15 minutes or more getting clean in the shower.

44% of those in the East Midlands spend 10 minutes plus soaping up, with Yorkshire and Humberside (40%), the North East and the West Midlands (both 36%) not far behind.

The most conscientious showerers can be found in the South of England where 42% tend to spend a more frugal eight minutes or less a day getting clean.

As consumers often expect products to increase in technology but reduce in size over time, Triton has launched two new ‘mini’ concentric and four ‘mini’ sequential mixers to give installers the same easy to install benefits as the existing, larger counterparts, but housed in a sleek, compact product.

The two ‘mini’ Thames concentric mixers and two ‘mini’ Thames and Mersey sequential models incorporate flexible fitting options for installers, the ranges are ideal for use across new, replacement and refurbishment projects without any extra hassle.

To make installers’ lives easier, all of the fixings needed to make pipe work connections and, for the concentric range only, to alter the inlet distance, are included in the box with the shower. So no extra trips to the merchants are needed.

The mini mixers are also ideal for new builds that have limited timber and plasterboard wall cavity depth. The minimum building – in depth for a mini mixer is 50mm, which is a big advantage over many other mixers, some of which need at least 68mm.

NEW THAMES ‘MINI’ CONCENTRIC

Following the same stylish concentric design and separate flow and temperature controls as the standard Thames products, the new mini valves collection works for projects where space is limited or simply a sleeker look is required.

150mm or 110mm inlet flexibility

Suitable for the direct replacement of existing bar mixer or exposed concentric models, the inlet of the new exposed concentric models can be installed where inlet centres are 150mm apart.

Giving further flexibility for new or refurb projects, it is also possible to reduce the elbow fitting in line with the smaller size of the valve, accommodating a 110mm inlet width.

For ease, Triton has incorporated the shorter elbow fittings required in the same box. All elbow fittings are easily inserted into the main valve and locked into place to accept the rising, falling and concealed supplies.

‘MINI’ SEQUENTIAL

Sequential showers are rising in popularity at the entry level of the mixer market; mainly due to simplicity in the design but also, with only one control for on/off and temperature control selection, the ease of use for the end user.
